health science for everyone

Solve long-term health problems with statistics
Crying in bed with migraine? Life-shattering mental illness? Allergic reactions? Cupboard filled with pills?
Track any symptom or intervention, analyze and improve your health over time. Statistics become simple with staty.
Our guides help you find causes and treatments
We cover possible triggers and causes of your symptoms, science- or experience-backed interventions to try, and how to analyze whether they work.
Learn how to do health science and find your individual solutions.

Your health data remains with you
All you need is a spreadsheet in your Google Drive. Your data is not shared or part of a larger study. staty is all about single person ("N=1") health science to find significant, individual solutions quickly.
Free forever, for a purpose
A free scientific research tool for everyone. No "CEO", no commercial interests, no company behind it, no payments, no premium features, ever.
This app was created out of personal need and helped fix several long-term health issues of the author. It is now shared to help others. Access to science and information must be free and open.

This is how to fix your health:
1) Write it down
Replace your migraine or sleep diary with something that actually makes sense – a structured spreadsheet with data that you can analyze!
In the below example, you track headache and sleep problems (symptoms) and experiment with magnesium and vitamin D (interventions). All in a Google spreadsheet that you can access everywhere you go.
Anything can be tracked, not just headache or sleep.

2) Analyze
Finding clues in a large spreadsheet is tedious. staty makes analysis easy, in few clicks.
This example shows headache strength vs. magnesium intake. Maybe magnesium helps?

3) Experiment
Keep going: try one treatment at a time and analyze if it works.
In the example: magnesium didn't actually help much long-term, and you still get frequent headaches. Now try something else for comparison, like electrolyte supplementation or training your neck muscles so they better withstand tension and strain.
For some health topics, you'll find guides on our website about interventions you can try.

4) Fix your health
Eventually, you may find that some attempt finally works.
A real result from staty's creator: Migraine is mostly gone after trying several interventions. Many useless, alleged treatments ruled out and no more time wasted on trying them ("Drink more!").
Before: headache every 3rd day, often severe.
After: weaker headaches, only every 10th day. The average pain score was cut in half:
